Teacher Spotlight - Donna Pusch, Kindergarten | Enroll Now!

Hello! I am Donna Pusch, and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Ashland Ranch Elementary. I have been teaching for 29 years, and my passion for this grade level only grows each year. My favorite thing about Kindergarten is the pure excitement students have for learning and the incredible amount of growth they show in just one year. I love creating fun, hands-on ways to teach new topics and making every lesson an experience!

One of my favorite memories from this past year was Read Across America Week. We invited parents to send in videos of themselves reading their favorite children's books, but with a twist - they were in disguise! At the end of the story, they revealed their true identities. Seeing the looks on the students' faces when they realized it was their own parent reading to the class was absolutely priceless.

I come from a big family, and many of them are teachers just like me! When I’m not in the classroom, I love being creative with art, getting lost in a good book, or heading outdoors to go hiking or camping. I also love any chance I get to visit the beach.

If there is one thing you can do to support your child’s education, it is this: Read to or with your child every single night! It builds a foundation for literacy and a lifelong love of stories.
