Suzanne Carlson, Principal

As the Principal of Ashland Ranch, I find it an honor and a privilege to serve our students, families, and staff. With over 25 years of dedicated experience in education, ranging from preschool to high school, I have found my true passion and calling here at the elementary level. I firmly believe that the elementary years are the foundation upon which students build their successful school experiences, and it is a joy to be a part of shaping those formative years.

My journey in education has been incredibly rewarding, filled with diverse experiences and opportunities for growth. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of various ages and backgrounds, each leaving a lasting impression on me. Every interaction, every lesson taught, and every challenge overcome has reinforced my unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing and enriching learning environment for all our students, ensuring their educational journey is as fulfilling as possible.

Beyond my professional endeavors, my family is my greatest source of pride and joy. I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Shelby and Sydney. Shelby has recently graduated with her Master's degree from the University of Arizona, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Meanwhile, Sydney is currently pursuing her dreams in the nursing program at the University of Arizona, following in her sister's footsteps with determination and passion.

As a parent myself, I deeply understand and appreciate the importance of a supportive and collaborative school community in nurturing the growth and development of our children. At Ashland, we strive to create a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Together with our dedicated staff, involved parents, and enthusiastic students, we are committed to fostering a love for learning and inspiring lifelong success.
